We really liked the neighborhood. Everyone was very friendly. It was out of the hustle and bustle of center London, which was on of our goals staying there. The pub was a great local pub, the room clean and comfortable and the food was great. We loved the local neighborhood feel with a big park, great restaurants, bakeries and close proximity to the train . You need to be prepared to commute 20-30 minutes to center city London but it was easy.

Comfortable, character hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location for us visiting our daughter . Nice safe area and near to station for easy access to Kings Cross. Very comfortable bed, room very clean (respect to housekeeping staff) . Fridge with fresh milk , water and beer. Good quality tea, coffee and chocolate on hospitality tray. Nice toiletries. Above a lively, popular pub/kitchen, but that didn’t disturb us. Very good breakfast included in room rate and served in pub dining room. All in all an excellent stay and we will definitely be back.

Hotel staff were very helpful, observant and friendly. The room was very comfortable, clean and peaceful. Great facilities, tea and coffee etc… and the breakfast choices were plentiful with customisations available as an option if required. Easy to get to train station and a 10min train journey into London Vic and from there easy to get to anywhere. Good coffee houses and restaurants around the local area.

Beautiful building, very comfortable spacious clean room with everything we needed, lots of complimentary higher end tea tray offerings & coffee machine. Lovely toiletries & robes/slippers in bathroom. Beds were very comfortable & had really good sleep. Breakfast was delicious. Also had evening meal one night which was also delicious. Staff were very friendly. Location is great with train station round the corner & Brockwell park also. Herne Hill area is quite cosmopolitan.

The hotel, the staff, the room, the pub, we loved this place. They gave us a very warm welcome, showed us to our room en took the time to give us all the information we needed. The breakfast was great, there is a lot of choice and the scrambled eggs on toast are an absolute winner. It is very nice you can have dinner in the pub and everyone is very friendly and relaxed.

Love the Half Moon’s location, its lovely character and style. Great food and drink, and the service is always excellent. Herne Hill has unique shops, cafes and bar/restaurants, so is a great place in itself. We find it easy for going to gigs at the Brixton Academy as there’s close rail links or a quick bus or taxi ride.

Location was great, a really lovely area and a short walk to Brixton Academy. Breakfast was exceptional. Loads of buffet options including vegan milk and yoghurt and the full English was faultless. Staff were all fantastic, friendly and helpful. We booked a small double room which was compact but had great facilities and a really big shower. I really cannot fault this hotel.

Everything met my expectations, the food was excellent, especially the breakfast which was first class! The staff were wonderful and couldnt do enough for me. It is a lovely pub with a great atmosphere, I would definitely stay there again 👍

Was a great stay in a nice little area. Wasn't the closest hotel to the city centre but the adventures in each day were a part of the fun experience. Hotel staff were great, and the morning breakfast was 10/10 as it was a chef cooked meal off a menu. The room service staff were also amazing, they were friendly, helpful, and did a great job. The room was huge for London, the bathroom was also huge. There were local markets less that 100m away. Lots of food options, clothing stores, supermarkets, barbers and public transport options, all 2 minutes walk away. The pub downstairs looks like it had a nice atmosphere and food options, however we didnt eat or drink there much as we were out and about. Athough there was a vibing pub downstairs, our room was silent, we would have had no idea it was there if we hadn't walked through it. We would recommend and would love to go back.
